Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Introduction

"MerxIQ Solutions" (together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, hereinafter "MerxIQ Solutions," "us," "we," or "our") is committed to the security and responsible management of personal data, in order to function effectively and successfully for the benefit of our stakeholders, customers, and the community.

In doing so, it is essential that people's privacy is protected through lawful and appropriate means of handling personal data. This privacy policy (the "policy") sets out how we do that.

2. Aim

This policy aims to protect the personal data of the various stakeholders connected to our organization. It provides individuals notice of the basic principles by which we process the personal data of individuals ("Personal Data") who visit, use, deal with, and/or transact through our website, including guest users and browsers ("you", "user").

3. Purpose and Scope

The purpose of this policy is to describe how MerxIQ Solutions collects, uses, and shares information about you through our online interfaces, including but not limited to this website.

This policy applies to all systems, people, and processes that handle Personal Data on our behalf, including our team members and any third parties with access to that data.

4. Personal data we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us directly through the features of this site — there is no ad tracking or behavioral profiling here. Specifically:

Contact and identification data

  • Name, email address, and phone number, when you submit our contact form or a careers application.
  • Subject and message content, when you submit our contact form.
  • A message/cover note and your resume file, when you apply for an open position.

Account data

  • A username, email address, and password, when you register for an account. Passwords are hashed with a salted one-way algorithm before being stored — we never store or have access to your plaintext password.

Technical data

  • Standard web server logs (such as IP address and browser information), generated automatically by any website you visit.
  • A first-party session cookie, used only to keep you (or an authorized admin) signed in — see the Cookies section below.

5. Special categories of personal data

We do not collect or process any special or sensitive Personal Data, including race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, health information, genetic data, or financial/payment information — this site does not process payments of any kind.

6. How we use your information

  • To respond to messages sent through our contact form.
  • To review and process job applications, including contacting candidates about open positions.
  • To create and maintain your account, keep you signed in, and honor "Remember me" when selected.
  • To maintain the security and proper functioning of the site.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

7. Cookies

This site uses a single essential, first-party session cookie to keep you (or a signed-in admin) logged in. It is httpOnly, cannot be read by third-party scripts, and is not used for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking. If you don't log in, register, or apply for a position, no session cookie is set.

8. Data security

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your Personal Data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access — including one-way salted password hashing and httpOnly session cookies. Contact form submissions are relayed by email through Google/Gmail so our team can respond; that message content passes through Google's systems as part of standard email delivery.

9. Data retention

We keep contact messages, applications, and account information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete it.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the Personal Data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate data.
  • Erase your data (the "right to be forgotten") — including your account, application, or contact-form submission.
  • Restrict or object to how we process your data.
  • Request your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@merxiq.com.

11. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for business and professional use and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
